Hi there . . Creation Chick . . again . . . I just thought it was fitting to start a blog on political issues that effect Christians in the United States. Some of this blog will talk about my personal viewpoints regarding politics as well, but all in all, I will be pursuing an way to look at politics that a Christian can feel good about supporting in the United States of America, today.

First Post - This Christian Nation
Hi there . . . Creation Chick, here! : D How is everyone? This is my blog for all my political viewpoints . .. pretty much for me . . this is so that I don't start getting political when talking about religion, science, faith, or any other topic . . . where politics does not belong. HOWEVER, politics is an important part of being a Christian . . and it is an important part of being a citizen of the united states, so I believe it is very important to at least have some sort of viewpoint on every issue. Once we all can express our viewpoints, then we at least have a jumping off point to discuss things with other people who agree or disagree with us. Anyway . . I think that a big part of what's going on in America today is that a majority of the population disagrees with how our values are being warped, but no one is big or brave enough to stand up for real morals. It is the well known term, the silent majority, in America that needs to speak out. But no one can speak out unless they feel safe . . and when we are constantly being called haters of bigots or close-minded. Yes, we have an opinion . . . . . is that a crime?
Based on what you have said here, I am assuming that you are talking about homosexuality, am I correct? The problem with fighting for morals as they relate to homosexuality is that if they are a uniquely religious concept we cannot legislate these morals, because not everyone may share these morals, as opposed to say murder that everybody agrees is wrong.
Legislation has to be based on universally accepted terms. We cannot say for example out-law hamburger because some Hindus may consider cow slaughter immoral. The same concept applies when we are talking about something like homosexuality.
Whatever laws are put in place need to be based on principals that people of any faith can agree upon.
